Indiana men’s basketball has represented the USA well at the FISU America Games in Lima, Peru.

The Hoosiers have torn through international competition with blowout after blowout in group play before advancing past Chile in the knockout round on Saturday. Now they’re set for the gold medal game, a rematch against the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The trip has been a solid opportunity for Indiana’s coaching staff to get some minutes for the Hoosiers’ bench with some strong performances from Indiana’s freshman trio of Prince-Alexander Moody, Vaughn Karvala and Trevor Manhertz.

There will be plenty of public exhibitions against stronger competition in the months to come, but building chemistry early in Peru could pay dividends down the line.
