Caitlin Clark is being touted as a strong MVP candidate by many of her fans, right from the moment discussions started getting heavy. However, a large percentage of baller fans are not in agreement with this, with many opting to support other players. This even includes many actual hoopers, who don’t seem to think that Clark has what it takes to be MVP in this season.
Sydney Colson, who played with Clark in the Fever, recently revealed her MVP candidate. Instead of Clark, Colson is going with A’ja Wilson, who has been a stunning force this year. In fact, Colson highlighted that Wilson is perhaps one of those rare athletes who has managed to escape the curse of ‘greatness fatigue.’
Wilson has been shattering records and grabbing titles from the moment she stepped foot into the W. And even with the entry of other phenomenal players like Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers and others, there is no stopping Wilson who has continued to impress.
“My MVP? Probably A’ja. I think people, a lot of the time, have greatness fatigue, and not in other sports, but for some reason with the WNBA they do, and I just think that’s going to be something that’s not seen for a long time.”Sydney Colson said.

The reason why Colson prefers Wilson over other players like Caitlin Clark is mainly because the Aces icon has managed to do well on both ends. On the other hand, Clark has always been called out for not paying enough attention to her defensive skills and turnover rate.
Caitlin Clark Gets Outshined By A’ja Wilson & Olivia Miles For MVP
Caitlin Clark will most likely not win the MVP award for this campaign, with her name being dropped quite less in discussions. Right now, the top two candidates whom many fans prefer are none other than A’ja Wilson and rookie Olivia Miles.

Miles is all set to win the Rookie of the Year award and is also being touted to take home the MVP title, even if she says that her current basketball form is the worst version of herself. The rookie has been knocking everyone’s socks off with her skills, which honestly puts Clark’s numbers to shame.
It is no wonder that the likes of Wilson and Miles are getting picked over Clark as MVP candidates. But even then, ardent Clark worshippers have not stopped banging the drum and calling out those who refuse to pick her for the title.
