Since Duke will welcomeTennessee to Cameron in a few days, we thought it might be good to look at some video from the Tennessee-Xavier exhibition.

Tennessee is going to be somewhat different from the normal Rick Barnes team, which historically is physically aggressive, defensively oriented, but not necessarily all that offensively brilliant.

This one will be much more offensively oriented. Defense is still a bit of a question mark, and there are some familiar faces: former Demon Deacon Juke Harris, former Notre Dame star freshman Jalen Haralson, and former Virginia/Cal guard Dai Dai Ames, who may start to draw social security before he finishes his college basketball career. He also picked up Terrence Hill from VCU, and he had an excellent year last year.

It’s an exhibition game, which means it’s really a chance for coaches to try out different lineups and schemes, so don’t take this too seriously. However, it’s hard to ignore this: Xavier won, 86-70, and the game was played at Tennessee.

A lot of it you can set aside because, as noted, it’s an exhibition, but it’s very hard to overlook a Rick Barnes team giving up 86 points at home.
