Who Duke Blue Devils basketball faces the week of Feb. 2–8

Duke basketball‘s first meeting of the season with UNC comes during the week of Feb. 2-8.

The No. 4 Blue Devils (20-1, 9-0 ACC) are set to open the week hosting Boston College on Tuesday, Feb. 3 before a trip to Chapel Hill to take on the Tar Heels on Saturday, Feb. 7.

Duke is coming off a 72-58 win over Virginia Tech on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Cassell Coliseum. Cameron Boozer scored a game-high 24 points while Caleb Foster added seven points with a career-high seven rebounds. Isaiah Evans and Maliq Brown each scored 11 to round out Duke‘s scorers in double-figures.

Duke finished the month of January perfect, its fifth unbeaten month under head coach Jon Scheyer.

The Blue Devils remain atop ACC standings and are the only unbeaten team remaining in conference play.

Who does Duke basketball play this week?

Duke opens the week hosting Boston College on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN from Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series against the Eagles 30-3 and are a perfect 14-0 when playing against them at home. Boston College (9-12, 2-6) is coming off a 73-66 home loss to Virginia. Its two conference wins have come against Syracuse (81-73, OT) and Notre Dame (68-64).

The Blue Devils then travel to Chapel Hill to take on the Tar Heels for the 266th edition of the Tobacco Road rivalry. Duke has won the past three against UNC and is 6-4 in the past 10 matchups. Duke’s last loss at the Smith Center came two years ago to the date falling 84-93 on Feb. 3, 2024.

The Tar Heels had shown signs of struggle earlier in the month but are coming off three straight wins, most recently taking down Georgia Tech 91-75 on the road on Jan. 31. Freshman Caleb Wilson leads UNC with 20 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
