Duke basketball went unbeaten in the month of January for the fifth time under head coach Jon Scheyer.
The Blue Devils (20-1, 9-0 ACC) capped the month off with a 72-58 road win at Virginia Tech. They remain the No. 4 team in the nation in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll that was released on Monday, Feb. 2 with 692 points. Duke also remains No. 4 in the AP poll with 1,314 votes.
The Duke defense has now held its last two opponents to season-low scoring outputs: Louisville 52 on Jan. 26 and Virginia Tech 58 on Jan. 31. The Blue Devils won each of their last five games by double-digits.
Duke opens this week hosting Boston College on Tuesday, Feb. 3 and closes it taking on UNC, travelling to the Smith Center on Saturday, Feb. 7. for its first meeting this season with the Tar Heels.

Duke basketball ranking in AP Top 25 men’s basketball poll
Duke remains No. 4 in the AP Poll for the second-consecutive week. UNC (14), Virginia (18), Clemson (20) and Louisville (24) are the other ACC teams in the poll.
Duke basketball NET ranking
Duke remained No. 2 in the the latest NET (NCAA Evaluation Tool) below No .1 Michigan. The Blue Devils are 9-1 against Quadrant I opponents, tied with Arizona as the team in the NCAA with the most Quad I wins, and are 11-0 against opponents in Quadrants 2-4.
Duke basketball ranking on KenPom, Bart Torvik, EvanMiya analytics sites
Duke remains No. 3 in KenPom rankings below Michigan (1) and Arizona (2). The Blue Devils moved up three spots in Bart Torvik rankings from No. 8 to No. 5 and remain No. 3 in EvanMiya rankings.
