The Virginia Tech Hokies continue to rebuild the roster following a disappointing 19-13 campaign. On Monday, former Elon guard Ned Hull became the latest player to join Virginia Tech for the 2026-27 season.

Hull is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard from Charlotte, North Carolina, who played at Charlotte Latin High School. He played 17 games as a true freshman in 2023-24, averaging six minutes per game and 1.4 points per contest. He appeared in only one game as a sophomore in 2024-25, before an injury ended his season and forced him to redshirt.

Last season, Hull played in 32 games and averaged 18 minutes, 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. He shot 36% from 3-point range.

Hull scored in double figures three times last season, including scoring 15 in a CAA Tournament loss to William & Mary. In an 82-81 overtime loss to the Hokies in Blacksburg in December, Hull played 20 minutes, scoring six points. He made two of three shots from the field, all from 3-point range.

Hull is the fourth player to sign with Virginia Tech, joining guard Isaiah Elohim, center Miles Heide and forward Kuol Atak. The Hokies are expected to add more players. It’s unknown what role Hull will have, other than depth.
