We've known for weeks who the UConn Huskies men's basketball team will play in 2026-27, but on Friday, we learned where those games will take place – at least the home ones.
The Huskies split their home schedule between PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford and Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, so this information was much desired as fans try to figure out their late fall and winter plans.
Here's what you need to know:
The PeoplesBank Arena games
Oct. 27 vs. Purdue (exhibition)
Nov. 2 vs. Gardner-Webb (season opener)
Nov. 13 vs. Ohio State
Dec. 15 vs. Delaware State
Dec. 23 vs. Georgetown
Jan. 23 vs. Butler
Feb. 3 vs. Villanova
Feb. 7 vs. Creighton
March 2 vs. St. John's
The Gampel Pavilion games
Nov. 9 vs. Wagner
Nov. 30 vs. Rider
Dec. 8 vs. Mississippi Valley State

Dec. 12 vs. Kansas
Jan. 6 vs. DePaul
Jan. 12 vs. Marquette
Jan. 16 vs. Xavier
Feb. 17 vs. Seton Hall
Feb. 27 vs. Providence
The takeaways
In general, it's always disappointing for the on-campus population to see games taken off campus, because those games are simply harder to get to logistically for students.
However, the schedule makers did a nice job at splitting these games up as evenly as they could. There are nine games in each spot, including the Purdue exhibition contest.
The PeoplesBank crowd gets a marquee non-league game with Ohio State, and the big St. John's game in the Big East. The Gampel crowd gets the marquee matchup with Kansas and a solid in-league matchup against Marquette, who is expected to be good.
Also of note on the schedule front
The Huskies exhibition season actually starts on Oct. 13 (Tuesday) against the Syracuse Orange. That game will be played at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. It's obviously not listed on either of these venues, but it is another opportunity to see the Huskies within the Nutmeg State.
Elsewhere for the Huskies
UConn earned 98 points to take the top spot in the Big East Conference preseason poll earlier this week, while St. John's (90), Villanova (81), Marquette (73) and Providence (59) filled out the top five.
Beyond that? Xavier, Creighton, DePaul, Seton Hall, Georgetown and Butler.
As we mentioned above, Marquette, despite finishing fourth in this poll, should be a solid group this season. And they have one big believer: Rick Pitino is a big fan of the Golden Eagles.
