Twitter Gold: Strong Man Fridays Return

WASHINGTON, DC – MARCH 27: Caleb Foster #1 of the Duke Blue Devils looks to shoot against the St. John's Red Storm during the second half in the Sweet Sixteen of the 2026 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at Capital One Arena on March 27, 2026 in Washington, DC. As the tweet says, Strong Man Fridays are back! And while there is no Cameron Boozer in this group, nonetheless, there’s some pretty serious power on Duke’s roster.

The cuts on this video are pretty quick, but a few things we noticed:

You probably don’t want to get on the wrong side of Drew Scharnowski. That guy is seriously powerful, and it looks like he enjoys tossing heavy weight around.

Preston Greene, Duke Basketball’s Director of Sports Performance, is doing a solid job. You want to know how you can tell?

Take a look at Dame Sarr. Sophomore Sarr is not the same player as freshman Sarr. He’s much more cut.

Going forward, we think the guys to watch for improvement are going to be Cameron Williams and Maxime Meyer. Both are fairly slender teenagers right now, but if they bulk up significantly, their ability to inflict punishment on an opponent should go up sharply.

Small but telling detail: the video starts and ends with Caleb Foster, who is setting up for a great leadership role this season.
