Syracuse women’s basketball: Orange to host Cornell in 2026-27

The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team is continuing to add in-state opponents to its non-conference slate for the upcoming year.

Syracuse will play Cornell on Sunday, November 8, the program announced Friday. The Orange and Big Red will face each other in the JMA Wireless Dome for the first time since December 2023, a 78-71 win for ‘Cuse.

The Orange are 18-3 all-time versus Cornell dating back to 1973 and have won nine straight contests.

Last year, Cornell finished 9-18 overall and 4-10 against the Ivy League.

Cornell is also the third confirmed in-state opponent Syracuse has for its non-conference schedule this season. The Orange will also get Canisius at home and play Le Moyne on its campus.

So far, Syracuse’s home non-con slate includes Cornell, Sacred Heart, Canisius, and Oklahoma.

Here’s a look at what the current non-con schedule looks like for the Orange in 2026-27:

  • October 12 (exhibition): UConn (Uncasville, CT)
  • November 3: Sacred Heart (JMA Wireless Dome)
  • November 8: Cornell (JMA Wireless Dome)
  • November 15: Canisius (JMA Wireless Dome)
  • December 3: Oklahoma (JMA Wireless Dome)
  • December 16: Le Moyne (Syracuse)
