The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team is heading to the Hoosier State as part of its 2026-27 non-conference schedule.

Syracuse will face the Indiana Hoosiers on November 9, the program announced Wednesday. Tip-off time and TV information will be announced at a later date, according to the team.

The news confirms a recent report hinting that Syracuse and Indiana, two of the winningest programs in college basketball history, would be meeting at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Even though this will be around an hour away from the Hoosiers’ campus, it appears the contest will be considered a neutral-site.

Syracuse is 6-1 all-time versus Indiana dating back to March 1987. Famously, Syracuse’s lone defeat in the series came during the 1987 NCAA Championship, which the Orange lost by one point.

The Orange most recently faced the Hoosiers at home in November 2021, which ‘Cuse won by two points in double overtime.

Syracuse also seems to be locked into three other non-con games. The rest of the list includes Providence at TD Garden, St. John’s at Madison Square Garden, and Rutgers at the Barclays Center. The Orange will also be facing a TBD opponent from the SEC as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge.

We’ll continue to update you with any more Syracuse scheduling news as it comes up.
