The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team will officially usher in a new era Monday night. It’s not just the 2026-27 season opener, but the first official game and start of a new era for the program under head coach Gerry McNamara.
Coach GMac and the Orange will begin the season at home against New Haven. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. EST from the JMA Wireless Dome. You can watch the game on ACC Network+ or listen via cuse.com.
Fans should know two updates heading into tonight’s first game of the year. First, McNamara is reportedly planning to coach tonight after his father, Gerald, passed away over the weekend.
Syracuse will be missing Temple transfer guard Aiden Tobiason against New Haven, who is still nursing a hamstring injury.
