With the Syracuse Football season starting to turn the wrong way, let’s take a look at some more ACC opponents in the college basketball world.

Louisville Cardinals

Player to look out for: Flory Bidunga. The amount of talent that Pat Kelsey was able to bring in this offseason is unbelievable, but if I had to pick one key player it would have to be Bidunga. The main thing that the Cardinals were missing last season was a dominant big man, and the Kansas transfer is one of the best in the country coming into this season. Having that kind of body and presence down low will be a huge help to Louisville in their hunt for a national championship.

Florida State Seminoles

Player to look out for: Sebastian Rancik. Florida State is getting a very talented big man in Rancik. He is able to stretch the floor with his shooting as well as make plays in space. He possesses a premium mix of skills at his size that will help the Seminoles this season in a push for madness.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
2025-26 record: 11-20 (2-16, 18th in conference)

Player to look out for: Kam Craft. First year head coach Scott Cross is coming into this ACC looking to take the Yellow Jackets out of the bottom of the standings, with Craft being a main part of that journey. Craft’s experience in the conference with the Yellow Jackets last year will be a good starting point for this team.
Miami Hurricanes
2025-26 record: 26-9 (13-5, 3rd in conference)

Player to look out for: Somto Cyril. After an impressive 2025-26, Miami lost their best player in Malik Reaneau (currently ineligible), but Cyril will be the big man to take over in his place. Coming in from Georgia, he will bring some power five conference experience with him that will make him one of the best bigs in the entire ACC under Jai Lucas.
