Ohio State men's basketball forward Amare Bynum knows how to put someone on a poster.
Appearing in all 33 games in the 2025-26 season, Bynum has an athletic 6-foot-8, 240-pound frame and was unanimously voted in a preseason poll of OSU players as the Buckeyes best dunker.
He is averaging 9.7 points and 4.8 rebounds, including a game-high 20 points against Washington on Jan. 11.
Buckeyes head coach Jake Diebler praised Bynum for stepping up into an increased role after six-year forward Brandon Noel was sidelined with a foot injury Jan. 5.
“I told him early on that he was going to play a major role on our team,” coach Jake Diebler told the Dispatch in February. “There aren’t very many freshmen in the country who are playing the minutes he’s playing. He’s embraced being an important role on this team and he’s doing it at a high level.”
Bynum and the No. 8 Buckeyes head to Greenville, South Carolina, to play in the first round of the NCAA tournament against No. 9 TCU.
