Arizona does not need to win the Big 12 Tournament to make the NCAA tourney, and doing well in Kansas City isn’t going to affect its seeding. But based on the comments made by Tommy Lloyd and his players, the Wildcats aren’t going to sleepwalk through the event.

Winning it all might also be a sign of good things to come, as the previous three Big 12 schools to sweep both the regular season and conference tournament titles have reached the NCAA title game. That includes Houston last season, when it went 19-1 in the league, beat the UA in the Big 12 final and then fell to Florida in the national championship.

We asked our readers how they thought Arizona (29-2) would do, and not surprisingly, they’re confident that more nets will be getting cut by the Wildcats.

Top-seeded Arizona opens the Big 12 Tournament against No. 8 UCF, and a win will match it up with No. 5 Iowa State on Friday at 4 p.m. PT. The Big 12 final is scheduled for 3 p.m. PT Saturday.

The NCAA Tournament Selection Show is Sunday at 3 p.m. PT, and Arizona is +550 to win the national title according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
