The non-conference schedule for Nebrasketball is here.
The 12-game slate includes four power conference opponents and seven home games. These follow exhibitions against Saint Louis, BYU, and Kansas State.
“This schedule will challenge us beginning with the exhibition games in October,” Nebraska Coach Fred Hoiberg said in a release. “Playing Saint Louis at home, traveling to BYU and playing K-State in Grand Island will be very good tests in our preparation since we will play three neutral-site games during the first three weeks of the season. Our success last season created some opportunities to enhance our non-conference schedule, which should help us prepare for Big Ten Conference play. We are playing 24 games against power conference opponents along with the game against Boise State in Sioux Falls”

Nebraska opens at home with Le Moyne on Nov. 2. The Dolphins are out of the NEC, formerly the Northeast Conference.
Other home games include Lindenwood (Nov. 11), South Dakota (Nov. 18), Southern (Nov. 25), Mount St. Mary's (Dec. 17), FDU (Dec. 20), and New Haven (Dec. 30). Those last two are also out of the NEC.
In neutral-site affairs, the Huskers will take on Providence in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off on Nov. 7 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Nebraska will also face Boise State in Sioux Falls, Butler in Chicago, and Missouri in Kansas City.
The lone true road game in the non-con comes on Dec. 5 at Creighton.
In the Big Ten Conference, which has yet to set dates, Nebraska will host Penn State, Rutgers, UCLA, Indiana, USC, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, and Ohio State. Road trips include Oregon, Illinois, Purdue, Washington, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Iowa, Maryland, Penn State, and Michigan State.

Nebrasketball Looking to Repeat 2025-26 Success
The Huskers are no longer carrying the burden of being the only major college basketball program without a win in the NCAA Tournament. Nebraska grabbed two last season, beating Troy and Vanderbilt on the way to the Sweet 16.
Now, the Big Red are looking to make winning in March a regular occurrence.
All-Big Ten sharpshooter Pryce Sandfort is the only returning starter. He could have tried his hand at the NBA Draft, likely going in the second round, but elected to come back for another season in Lincoln. He started all 35 games and averaged 18.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists, making 42% of his shots from deep.
Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year Braden Frager steps into a starting role. Frager was a dependable scorer and energy boost last season, averaging 11.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Contributors Connor Essegian, Leo Curtis, and Cale Jacobsen are all back. Will Cooper, who redshirted last season, will get a chance to crack the rotation.
Nebraska coach Fred Hoiberg was busy in the transfer portal, bringing in likely starters in Trevan Leonhardt (Utah Valley), Sam Orme (Belmont), and Boden Kapke (Boston College). He also brought in Taj DeGourville (San Diego State), Kadyn Betts (Montana), and Damon Wilkinson (South Dakota State).
High school signees Colin Rice and Jacob Lanier will both battle for minutes. Rice missed a large portion of the summer practices with a hand injury.
