Fred Hoiberg and No. 9 Nebraska Cornhuskers men's basketball team saw frustration spill over Tuesday night following a 57-52 road loss to Iowa.
As Hawkeyes fans stormed the court, one fan approached Hoiberg during the postgame handshake line, holding a cellphone inches from the coach’s face while recording. According to a report by On3, Hoiberg reacted by swiping toward the phone, appearing to try to knock it away before arena personnel intervened. No injuries were reported.
The moment is likely to reignite debate around court storming, an issue that has drawn increased scrutiny across college basketball in recent seasons.
