The No. 23 Kentucky Wildcats are back in action tonight for Game 2 of the exhibition season, this one coming against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Game time is set for 7 PM ET on SEC Network+, so it’s a stream-only game.
This will be a great preseason test for Mark Pope and his Wildcats, as the Red Raiders enter the season ranked No. 19 in the first edition of the AP Top 25 Poll. However, Texas Tech will be without All-American forward JT Toppin, who is still recovering from a torn ACL suffered last year.
But even without Toppin, this is a dangerous Texas Tech squad that will give Kentucky a much-needed challenge before the real games begin.
Speaking of injuries, Trent Noah (hamstring), Kam Williams (foot), and Jerone Morton (knee) remain sidelined, so the Cats will have another short bench tonight.
Time to get to work.
