Kent State basketball's Jahari Williamson, Cian Medley moving on

KENT — The Kent State men’s basketball team is losing two more starters who were in the transfer portal.

Jon Chepkevich of Draft Express reported on April 20 that guard Jahari Williamson has committed to Pepperdine. Chepkevich cited Williamson’s agent Mike Simonetta of Life Sports Agency.

The loss of Williamson came one day after point guard Cian Medley committed to East Carolina. Medley made his announcement on social media.

Williamson started all 34 games for the Flashes and averaged 10.3 points. The 6-1 junior led the Flashes in 3-pointers with 81 and 3-point percentage at 44.5.

Medley set a Kent State single-season assist record with 212 last season. He averaged 10.5 points and 6.4 assists in 33 games (32 starts).
