Kansas Basketball Gets Two Big Monday Games In 2027

The 2026-27 college basketball season is on the horizon and Kansas just received big scheduling news.

On Monday, the Big 12 and ESPN announced the Big Monday games that will take place this season. The Jayhawks have become a big part of this weekly event during the season and will play two more games this year.

Kansas will take on Houston on Feb. 1 before a home game against Iowa State on March 1.

The Jayhawks have dominated Big Mondays under head coach Bill Self and these two games would be big wins in determining how the top of the Big 12 looks this year.

Kansas has a record of 66-17 on Big Monday under Self. This includes a perfect 3-0 last year headlined by a victory at home against top-ranked Arizona.

The Jayhawks have handled Iowa State at Allen Fieldhouse over the years, winning 18 of the last 19 meetings in Lawrence. On the other side, Kansas has struggled on the road against Houston since it joined the Big 12, losing two of three by a combined 36 points.
