In the midst of a magical March Madness run to the Elite Eight, Iowa (24-12, 10-10 Big Ten) hopes to etch its name further into Hawkeyes history as it meets No. 3 seed Illinois (27-8, 15-5 Big Ten) from the Toyota Center in Houston in the South Region final.
Iowa hasn’t advanced to the Final Four since Lute Olson took the program there in 1980. This is Iowa’s first Elite Eight appearance since 1987.
