Tennessee is looking to bounce back this afternoon in Knoxville, set to play Alabama for the second time this season. The Volunteers took the first meeting with the Crimson Tide last month, coming back from down ten points in Tuscaloosa.
Tennessee has now won five straight games over Alabama, including Jahmai Mashack’s buzzer-beater last season. The Vols fell on the road on Tuesday night, dropping a game to Missouri. The loss moves Tennessee down to fourth in the regular season conference standings. They could move up to third today with a win over Alabama, who are 11-4 in conference play.
The Volunteers are holding onto a projected No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Alabama is currently projected to earn a No. 4 seed. According to KenPom, Alabama and Tennessee rank 19th and 20th nationally.
