Indiana men’s basketball, representing the United States at the FISU America Games, has torn through its competition en route to the gold medal game.

The Hoosiers easily dispatched both of Peru and the U.S. Virgin Islands during group play before eliminating Chile on Saturday to advance to the final this afternoon. Indiana will go for the gold in a rematch against the U.S. Virgin Islands.

These matchups have all been blowouts allowing Darian DeVries to get some run for Indiana’s bench with some star performances from freshman Vaughn Karvala, whose athleticism and 3-point shooting ability have been on display. Indiana has been without center Samet Yigitoglu, who wasn’t eligible to join play for the trip, but added former Hoosier Sam Alexis to the roster to allow Aiden Sherrell to play the five.
