Indiana men’s basketball is set to welcome a bit of a familiar face to Assembly Hall for the 2026-27 season. Eric Reibe, a transfer center out of UConn, has committed to USC and head coach Eric Musselman.

Reibe, who’s originally from Germany, committed to UConn as a member of the class of 2025 out of The Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland. He was a priority recruiting target for Indiana under Mike Woodson, like Huskies teammate and Indiana native Braylon Mullins, before committing to UConn and Dan Hurley. He averaged 5.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists while shooting 65.8% from the field in 13.8 minutes per game off the bench for the runners-up, but saw minimal playing time during UConn’s run through the NCAA Tournament.

Reibe became a potential portal option for Darian DeVries’ Hoosiers when he entered, but Indiana landed a commitment from SMU’s Samet Yigitoglu and the spot he’d occupy was filled. With Indiana having traveled to Los Angeles to take on USC this past season, the program is set to welcome the Trojans to Assembly Hall in 2026-27.
