There are two player previews from the Duke Chronicle this time, senior Caleb Foster and junior Patrick Ngongba.
Both have had a history of foot injuries at Duke, but both were outstanding last year before they ended up on scooters at the end of the season.
For Foster’s part, he gave one of the greatest performances in Duke Basketball history when he led the Blue Devils’ comeback against St. John’s in the NCAA Tournament, just weeks after he broke his foot.
As for Ngongba, he showed immense improvement last season, and has a tremendous IQ for the game.
If both of them stay healthy this season, Duke will have two important pieces to build around.
