Former Iowa State Cyclones center Audi Crooks committed to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls via the NCAA transfer portal on Sunday night. The 6-foot-3 Iowa native, ranked No. 1 in ESPN’s transfer rankings, will remain in the Big 12 Conference and has one season of eligibility left.
Crooks leaves Iowa State after three seasons that included 99 appearances and 95 starts. She posted a career-best 25.8 points per game in 2025-26, along with 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists, while shooting an elite 64.9% from the field. That efficiency ranked second nationally, matching her scoring output, which also placed her second in Division I. Over her career, she averaged 22.8 points and 7.7 rebounds while shooting 61.1%, the fifth-highest in Big 12 history.
Crook’s consistency was unmatched, as she scored in double figures in every collegiate game except her debut. She recorded 17 career games with 30+ points and five with at least 40, including a career-high 47 points in a win over Indiana. This past season alone, she had four 40-point performances and concluded the year with 37 points in a 72-63 NCAA Tournament loss to Syracuse Orange.
A three-time All-Big 12 First Team selection and two-time All-American, Crooks was widely regarded as the cream of the crop among more than 1,500 entrants in this year’s portal. She was also one of nine Cyclones players to transfer following a 22-10 season in which Iowa State finished tied for seventh in the Big 12 (10-8) and lost four of their final five games.
Oklahoma State, led by head coach Jacie Hoyt, finished 24-10 and tied for fourth in the conference (12-6), earning a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament before falling to the eventual champion UCLA Bruins in the second round. The Cowgirls also swept their two meetings against the Cyclones last season.
Crooks now joins a massively revamped Oklahoma State roster that includes high-impact additions such as Liv McGill (22.5 PPG, 6.3 APG), Nene Ndiaye (14.8 PPG, 45% FG), and Ellie Brueggemann (44% from three, seventh nationally). With returning All-Big 12 performer Stailee Heard (13.8 PPG, 6.8 RPG), the Cowgirls are positioned as a strengthened contender heading into next season.
