
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For the first time in two decades, ESPN’s “College Gameday” is coming back to Kansas City for the Phillips 66 Men’s Basketball Big 12 Tournament this year at T-Mobile Center.
It’s the first time the program will preview the tournament since 2006, and the show’s first visit to the tournament’s championship at T-Mobile Center in Downtown KC.
It’s also the show’s fourth time covering the Big 12 this season, tying the show’s record of four times in 2018.
The 22nd season of “College Gameday” is hosted by Sports Emmy Award winner Rece Davis, Curt Gowdy Media Award recipient Jay Bilas, two-time conference coach of the year Seth Greenberg and former national champion and two-time NABC Player of the Year Jay Williams. College sport insider Pete Thamel is also set to contribute remotely.
ESPN’s crew calling the game will be Dan Shulman and Bilas, with Kris Budden reporting from the floor.
With the big game set for Saturday, March 14 at 6 p.m., “College Gameday” will begin at 11 a.m.
“As the second-best basketball league in America behind the NBA, the Big 12 looks forward to hosting ESPN College Gameday at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship game in Kansas City,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark.
As it stands on Thursday, the Arizona Wildcats are the favorites to win the 2026 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament at -2000, with the local Kansas Jayhawks trailing behind at +1500. Iowa State and Texas Tech trail behind the ‘Hawks at +2200 and +15,000, respectively.
