We’re coming close to the end of breadcrumb season, but apparently no one told Luigi Suigo. Suigo’s social media activity should have Villanova fans on high alert, hinting that the 7-foot-3 Italian center could soon be finally Main Line-bound.

Suigo recently started following incoming Villanova transfer Jake Fiegen on Instagram, only adding to the endless speculation surrounding his college future:

This follows (pun unintended) his prior social media activity where he followed the official Villanova men’s basketball account, along with forward Matthew Hodge and incoming portal transfers Kwame Evans Jr. and Elijah Crawford. I mean, tell me you’re a Wildcat without telling me.

The 19-year-old Italian standout has been testing the waters at the NBA Draft, but the center has publicly stated that unless he receives a guaranteed top-20 pick in the upcoming draft, he plans to withdraw before the now-week-away June deadline (June 13) to play college hoops.

While BYU has remained firmly in the mix, the momentum behind head coach Kevin Willard landing the towering center is reaching a fever pitch.

If Willard can bring in Suigo to anchor the paint, Nova might finally get its elite rim-erasing big man they desperately need to compete with the likes of UConn and St. John’s in the Big East. Even with an already impressive roster built through the portal, Suigo’s commitment would instantly change Villanova’s ceiling.

There’s a very realistic chance the Wildcats vault directly into the preseason Top 25 if he signs, setting the stage for sky-high expectations on the Main Line for the 2026-27 season.
