Duke’s ACC schedule is out, and here’s what they gave us:

The Blue Devilswill get UNC and Virginia for the home-and-home games. The home games will be:

  • Cal
  • Florida State
  • NC State
  • Notre Dame
  • Pitt
  • Stanford

The away games are:

  • Boston College
  • Clemson
  • Georgia Tech
  • Louisville
  • SMU
  • Syracuse
  • Wake Forest

Dates will be released later.

Some interesting points here:

First, Jon Scheyer will face new coaches at State, Boston College, Georgia Tech, and Syracuse. Second, former Scheyer assistant Jai Lucas will be coming back to Cameron, and that is going to be interesting. He did a terrific job in Year I, so let’s see how Year II goes. He’ll get a warm reception until the ball goes up.

Third, while playing UNC and Virginia home-and-home is a tough load, it’s also great for strength of schedule.

We think that Luke Murray at BC, Gerry McNamara at Syracuse, and possibly Scott Cross at Georgia Tech have a shot at being really good, so playing those schools will be interesting.
