Former Blue Devils Christian Reeves Will Be A Jayhawk Next Season

CLEMSON, SC – FEBRUARY 09: Clemson Tigers center Christian Reeves (14) puts a shot up over Duke Blue Devils guard Tyrese Proctor (5) during a college basketball game between the Duke Blue Devils and the Clemson Tigers on February 8, 2025, in Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, S.C. Well here’s something we missed: former Blue Devil Christian Reeves left Duke for Clemson after his sophomore season, then moved on to Charleston. And now he has a new school: Kansas.

That’s right, Reeves, will be a Jayhawk.

He didn’t get much time at Duke, nor at Clemson, but did reasonably well at Charleston, where he averaged 11.1 points and 7.8 rebounds, which is credible.

It’s a big jump from Charleston to the Big 12, but maybe Reeves is ready.

First question: will we see him in the Champions Classic this fall? No – Duke will play Michigan State while Kansas will play Kentucky.

There is another question which Reeves will be uniquely qualified to answer, and which he’ll certainly be asked: which arena is better, Cameron Indoor Stadium, or Phog Allen Fieldhouse?
