A number of players have delivered on the courts through the first two months of the KHSAA basketball season. But these five seniors from the Louisville area are making a case for Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball award.

Voting for the top Louisville-area Kentucky Mr. Basketball candidate is underway. The poll closes at 6 p.m. Thursday, and the winner will be announced Friday.

Only seniors are eligible for the award; all statistics as of Jan. 31.
Here are the nominees:
Cam Bischoff, DeSales Colts

Averaging 24 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Ranks fourth in the state with 85 3-pointers made.
Cole Edelen, Ballard Bruins

Averaging 17.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Shooting 38.2% from 3-point range (34 for 89). Signed with Western Kentucky.
Dayvone Harrison, Jeffersontown Chargers

Averaging 17.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Shooting 36.9% from 3-point range (38 for 103). Helped Chargers reach championship game of Louisville Invitational Tournament for first time since 2005.
Jeremiah Jackson, St. Xavier Tigers

Averaging 17.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Named MVP of Louisville Invitational Tournament for second straight year. Signed with Southern Illinois.
J.J. Washington, Christian Academy Centurions

Averaging 18.2 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. Shooting 33.7% from 3-point range (33 of 98). Helped Centurions to runner-up finish in Kentucky 2A Championships.
